A New Name For A Fragment In Time For Females

Do the following words ring a bell for you in your most current behavior, “grrrr, hiss and snarl”, weepy and very moody, radical menstrual cycle change, hot flushes, confused? Do you fall in the age category of anywhere between thirty odd and forty something? If the answer to both these question is yes, you may very well be in a perimenopause state. You may ask what on earth perimenopause is. Well you may very well have heard of premenopausal or menopause, perimenopause is that wee moment in time when the biological clock actually ticks over, quite like the Big Ben making its gong on the spot of midday or midnight. Okay, so it does seem a little over the top, but it doesn’t have to be. To put it in order first you get premenopausal, then you tick over to perimenopause and then officially you are gonged into menopause. Make sense now? If not don’t worry, as this is one of the symptoms suddenly not understanding things so easily anymore and some mass confusion, call it what you like, it happens and thankfully it is not long term and not normally permanent.

Accepting The Inevitable

The sooner you realize you are premenopausal, the soon you can get over the dreaded perimenopause stage and head straight into menopause with less problems. If there is a man in your life, you need to inform him of your sudden behavioral changes that will be occurring in the next few years of your life, and to try his utmost to be patient and tolerant. You may inform the man in your life you will be taking some kind of medication to ease some of your symptoms in your perimenopause state, but there are still no guarantees.

Keeping Your Sanity

If you are still not convinced you can very easily go to your doctor and request a perimenopause test, and with a few questions answered they can confirm that you are somewhere in the process of premenopausal, perimenopause or in menopause. They will not be able to tell you specifically on which date you will definitely be a perimenopause case, but can explain exactly as above where in the life process it is.
By testing your blood all they will be able to tell you are that your testosterone and estrogen levels are not balanced any more, and since these two hormones need to be kept in relative balance for a bit more normal behavior and sanity, they can recommend hormone replacement therapy of some kind for your newly acquired behavioral skills.
