Signs and Symptoms

There are actually quite a few different signs and symptoms that you may experience as you begin going through hormone menopause, one of the first being a change in the menstrual cycle. Hot flashes are also often associated with menopause, and which can range from being a minor nuisance to a major problem that can affect regular day to day activities.

There will also be a thinning of the vagina and vulva, and you may notice that sex is starting to be more painful because the vagina is not producing as much lubrication.

Urinary tract problems are also very common among women going through menopause, and you are more likely to have bladder infections after menopause, sometimes having symptoms without any infection at all.

If you experience one or more of these symptoms you are going to want to get in and talk to your doctor immediately. They will be able to perform a few standard tests and determine whether or not you are going through menopause, and if you are, they will be able to offer you advice on ways to relive your symptoms.

Menopause can definitely be a difficult time in any woman’s life, this is for sure, but the good news is that there are many things you can do that will be effective and help get you back feeling like your regular old self once again and not feeling awful all the time.
